Earthwatch May 2012

Sam and I have just spent two weeks working with a fantastic group of Earthwatch volunteers. Although we only had a team of four we achieved a huge amount:

– 16 out of 24 camera stations were checked

– 20,894 photographs were processed

– An elephant shrew was discovered on our cameras for the first time

– Two new leopard scats were collected

– Thousands of peanuts were shelled for giving up density experiments

– Phenological data was taken on 148 trees

– 14 leopard trap sites were cleared

– Samango monkeys were followed for data collection

From everyone at the Primate and Predator Project thanks so much for your involvement.
